“Hearts” - I Break Horses
Didn’t realize that “You’ve Got The Love” was not created by The xx.
Found this Egon Elliut remix that puts all other remixes and covers to shame.

Purity Ring has definitely made a case to be the next big act in music with their recent string of releases. ”Obedear” is no different, bringing a fresh take to the pop scene. Dark electronic beats provide a perfect backing for the spaced out vocals from Megan James. It sorta reminds me of a song Grimes would release.

Music video for “A Wiseman Told Me” from indie rock outfit Grandma’s Tea Party, who hail from Bergen, Norway. Really like the main guitar riff and vocals for this one.
Bon Iver at Santa Barbara Bowl, April 22nd.
Got to hear all the songs there wasn’t time for in Indio. Except for a couple but I won’t be greedy.

Bon Iver should NEVER be remixed. Ever.
When I first saw the band Panama produced a remix EP of Bon Iver titled Good Winter (Bon Iver…Good Winter…get it) I was skeptical. Too many bands try to gain exposure by remixing popular songs with disastrous consequences. I assumed Panama was just another band to add to the list. Within minutes of listening to the EP, I quickly took back my words. Panama strips down the already delicate Bon Iver tracks and swaps out the guitar and white noise for glitzy, spaced out beats that fit perfectly with Vernon’s voice. In “Blossom,” Panama remixes “Re: Stacks” with awe-inspiring results. You can download the whole EP over at their Bandamp here.
Swimwear is the side project of Dappled Cities member Tim Derricourt. It almost has a Beach House feel but a little more shiny and spaced out. I need more of this.

I don’t care what people say about Andrew Wyatt’s voice. This album is absolutely amazing.
Chill hip hop song from New Orleans native G-Eazy. I really want to hear an original track frombDominique LeJeune, the female singer in the chorus. Her voice is something special.
